01. MIS-INFORMATION (The Friction)

Definition: False information spread without harmful intent.

It is the viral rumor, the misattributed quote, or the outdated statistic shared by a well-meaning user. While not malicious, it acts as friction—clogging the network with "junk data" and making it harder for the true signal to be heard.

02. DIS-INFORMATION (The Fire)

Definition: False information deliberately created to deceive or harm.

Dis-information is a strategic strike. It is engineered to be emotionally volatile—leveraging fear, anger, or tribalism to ensure it spreads faster than the truth can extinguish it. It is designed to poison the well of public discourse.

03. MAL-INFORMATION (The Weapon)

Definition: Fact-based information used maliciously to inflict harm.

This is the most insidious shade. It is the use of truths—private details, out-of-context quotes, or leaked data—to destroy a reputation or create a false narrative. Because it contains a kernel of reality, it is the hardest to debunk. It is the weaponization of truth itself.
